Budds Mare - Riverside Road

This is the start of the steep descent of the 4WD (SUV) road down to Riverside, on the banks of the Apsley.

Charlie is doing his dwarf act, forgetting that the sign does not conceal all.

David notes: This is often called the Elcom road, as the Electricity Commission of NSW had wanted to build a pumped storage hydro-electricity plant on the Apsley, and this was their access. However, a great deal of public opossition, plus the sheer economics of pumping the water up in times when electricity was cheap, and running it down during periods of high load didn't really pay.
