The latest trick in reducing the weight of my backpack!
The frypan consists of two alumunium pieplates with satay sticks pushed through for stability and to lift the frypan off the propane burner.
It works well, but needs a deflector to distribute the very high temperatures achieved by the burner. I have since made one from the top of a tin can, and reduced the number of sticks to two, pushed in parallel to each other on either side. The lower pie plate got holes in it from the high and at that time undeflected heat of the propane/butane burner, but the toasted cheese and tomato sandwich (buttered on the outside) was delicious.
The pie plates work quite well on the coals of a wood fire, also.

Charlie at "The Pulpit", the lookout at the end of the Cocks Comb, where we had lunch.
Walkers should be very careful at this point. It is very exposed, and the rocks have been known to move unexpectedly.
